A local paddle along the Basingstoke Canal. There is a pleasant open area with picnic tables along the bank so, weather permitting, we could make a day of it.

Okay, I admit it! I completely forgot to organize the last surfing trip in May so let’s see if I can get everybody to come on this one instead.

Symonds Yat a short length of Rapids that serve as a good introduction to white water, so if you have never paddled off the Thames then its is a good place to start.

Okay we started the season with a couple of trips to Symonds Yat, so lets start to increase the challenge with a trip to some white water.
We are thinking of heading over to Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Centre. Located on the bank of the river Teifi and overlooking a slalom course, that’s good for working on your skills.

Let’s challenge ourselves with some white water paddling in the South West. We will most likely be visiting the river Dart, staying in one of the many camping barns in the area.
The last trip had to be cancelled due to lack of number so I will try and resurrect the trip of these date, we where planning on staying at the William Pengelly Camping Barn in Buckfastleigh.

Creeking, It’s like white water but with a higher gradient, so lets give it a try somewhere in South Wales.
This could just end up been a white water trip depending on the skill of the paddlers involved.
