Flat Water Trip with Picnic ~ Sunday 26th July 2009

A local paddle along the Basingstoke Canal. There is a pleasant open area with picnic tables along the bank so, weather permitting, we could make a day of it.

Surfing Trip ~ Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th August 2009

Okay, I admit it! I completely forgot to organize the last surfing trip in May so let’s see if I can get everybody to come on this one instead.
As the weather has been so nice lately the river levels tend to be a bit low this time of year. But thanks to the wonders of global warming the sea should be okay to paddle in.

Symonds Yat Moving Water Trip ~ Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th September

Symonds Yat a short length of Rapids that serve as a good introduction to white water, so if you have never paddled off the Thames then its is a good place to start.

Mid-Wales White Water Trip ~ Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th October

Okay we started the season with a couple of trips to Symonds Yat, so lets start to increase the challenge with a trip to some white water.
We are thinking of heading over to Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Centre. Located on the bank of the river Teifi and overlooking a slalom course, that’s good for working on your skills.

South West White Water Trip ~ Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd November

Let’s challenge ourselves with some white water paddling in the South West. We will most likely be visiting the river Dart, staying in one of the many camping barns in the area.
The last trip had to be cancelled due to lack of number so I will try and resurrect the trip of these date, we where planning on staying at the William Pengelly Camping Barn in Buckfastleigh.

Tyne Tour ~ Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th November

Creeking Trip ~ Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th December 2009

Creeking, It’s like white water but with a higher gradient, so lets give it a try somewhere in South Wales.
This could just end up been a white water trip depending on the skill of the paddlers involved.
