FAQ
Use of Club Equipment
There is no charge to members for the use of club equipment.
Competent club members can borrow boats and other equipment outside of regular sessions. To do so, you must book it out beforehand . Priority for the use of kit will be given to club sessions.
We cannot hire or loan equipment to non-members.
Access to the Waterside Centre
Members can access the centre by key fob. This gives access to the changing rooms, toilets and kitchen. If you would like a key fob you can apply for one, using the form on this website. You will only be given access to the boat bay if you are a coach/leader or have a personal boat space allocated to you.
Qualified paddle sport leaders under 18 can apply to the committee for key fob access to the boat bay.
Access to the Waterside Centre Car Park
There is limited parking at the Waterside Centre. Club members can request a gate key from the committee for the cost of the key plus a small deposit. (Please be aware that the lock often needs to be replaced over the course of a season, in which case you will need to purchase a new key). For most club sessions someone with a key will be able to let you into and out of the car park.
Boat storage
The club can provide storage for member's personal boats - see waiting list
Courses
Our club has coaches who can help you improve your paddling skills, but we do not offer British Canoeing courses.
The Wokingham Waterside Centre, which shares the same premises as our club, runs a variety of different courses for all ages and abilities, including FSRT, British Canoeing star awards and coaching.
Club members get a 10% discount on courses at the Waterside Centre.
